The employees of Point Grey Campus as trades, food and hospitality services, technicians and research assistants, as well as in various positions covered by schedule A. CUPE 116`s CUPE 116 agreement, also represents aquatic Centre staff under a separate collective agreement. A single arbitrator is appointed by mutual agreement between the parties. Alternatively and by mutual agreement, the parties may decide on an arbitration proceeding and, in this case, each party will inform the other party of its candidate. The candidates of the parties then agree to chair the arbitration committee. The new collective agreement will apply from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2022. The parties agree that the Employment Services Committee, pursuant to Article 7, may, for the duration of this agreement, review the consideration of Tier 3 members with respect to workload, verify other up-to-date and historical information on labour transfers, and share consultative recommendations for the Union and/or the university. (a) Following the agreement of the Unit Administrator and the Permanent Minister of Training on a list of these essentially similar courses and courses, which the Continuing Education Professor has satisfactorily taught at the University of Victoria in the five years immediately preceding the start of this collective agreement, this list represents the courses to which the training professor will have the following recall rights. This agreement is binding from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2022 and applies to the period required to negotiate collective agreements under an applicable status of the Province of British Columbia. If a qualified replacement is found, the Union reimburses each unit all replacement costs (salary and benefits) incurred. The sitting board that replaces the sitting teacher on leave is entitled to the salary and benefits provided by this agreement.
